We have been looking at traffic and parking problems in area around Allerton Library for some time.

Working with traffic engineers, these proposals have been drawn up to make this area safer for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.

The proposal includes:

• Reducing the turn off from the main Allerton Road to the library area to one lane;
• Provide two disabled parking areas outside Green Lane Pharmacy;
• Provide a build out of the corners of the road at Allerton Drive to prevent inconsiderate parking.
• Look at rationalising the Road between the library and former police station to provide more parking possibly with a 2-hour parking restriction.

We haven’t yet got all the money for this but we have some! Before we take things further, we would like to get feedback from you.

Normally we would have a little consultation event in the library or one of the restaurants but for obvious reasons cannot do that at present.
