Last month we were delighted when the Planning Inspector rejected plans to build block of apartments behind Crawford House on Rose Lane, better known as the British Legion.
Local Lib Dem councillors have now been notified that the developer has returned with a new application for the site.
As before, this would convert the Legion into 8 apartments. They would also build 10 new apartments behind on the former tennis courts and bowling green. (3 fewer than the previous application).
We still believe this will increase traffic problems on Rose Lane and lead to residents being overlooked on Ribbledale Road and Bridge Road.
